Love Tag

Love Tag Jesse has hit the road for a few days so I thought I would do the love tag from Amanda and Jermey's page. So here goes. How did you and your husband meet? I met Jesse through mutual friends. We had gone to a birthday party and played some games together and I thought he was a compelte nut. After that we would just hang out at Church and Church activities. Before I knew it we were hanging out all the time and one night he finally made a move. He put is arm around me.. WHOAH... And the rest is history. What was the first thing he said to you? He asked me what was my name right after we had been introduced. Tells you how good his memory is. :) When was your first date? Our first date was to the Nelis Air Show. Talk about being married to a pilot when are first date is all about planes. He is like a child in a candy store at an air show. When was your first kiss? UH! Our first kiss was such a long process. We had been dating for a week or so and I was finally to the point where I wanted to kiss him and he knew it but enjoyed torturing me. He kept asking me what I was thinking and I didn't want to tell him. Finally after a few days of tortured I gave in and told him what I was thinking and he finally kissed me in the hammock of his roommates backyard. :) How long was your date/engagement? Jesse and I dated for about 6 months and were engaged for three. But if you ask my mom she will tell you less. :) Something about not giving her enough time to plan. Sorry mom. Love you! When did he propose? Jesse proposed at the end of March. We decided to go on a hike to the top of Lone Mountain. Which isn't a bad hike unless the weather is horrible, which it was. It was raining and extremely windy that day that we could barely get up the mountain. When we got to the top we had the genius idea to fly a kite. We figured it would fly since it was so windy that day. Well when we got to the top guess what stopped? The wind. Jesse was upset and grabbed the kite and headed down the mountain and said we were going to the park to fly this kite. So we went down to the park right below the mountain and flew the kite around. Jesse was really anxious and kept asking me if I was done flying the kite and all he was doing was irritating me. Finally I brought down the kite and to my surprise there was an extra tail that said, “Will you marry me!” When did you get married? We got married on June 9, 2007 in St. George, UT. It was a beautiful day and everything went really well. We then followed the ceremony with a reception in Overton at the Old Gym. We also had a second reception in Visalia CA at Jesse parents house and both of them were amazing. Where did you honeymoon? We decided to honeymoon in Yosemite and San Francisco. We spent the first few days in Yosemite and it was beautiful. I had never been there and it was fun to see all the sights and waterfalls. Then we headed to San Francisco and had a blast there. We went down town, Alcatraz and ate a lot of food (mostly Ghirardelli). It was a blast!

Intro

We are new to the whole blog thing, so just taking a crack at it. Not to mention Im sick at home and TV is crap (as Amanda would say, and Katelynn too)! Just to give you a preview of what you will see...Sarah is teaching middle school while finishing her degree, I work 32 days a month but enjoy my job, and thats about it. So most of the information will either be flying-related or from Sarah - and for all of your sakes hopefully most from Sarah.

As of recently, we have moved into our new house in Las Vegas (we are house-sitting a year or so, and like to pretend we need this much space), and spring is around the corner which means it will be 130 degrees quicker than we would like. I will try to add more posts shortly. Stay in touch better than I do!

The Backstory

Jesse and I met a year ago in the Red Rock singles ward in Las Vegas. We both had moved into vegas, Jesse coming from an internship at Skywest and I was coming from and internship at Walt Disney World. We met at a mutual friends birthday party were I got intrucded to the crazy kid. We became good friends and one day he asked me out on a date to the air show. (What else would it have been?) Six months later the crazy kid took me on a on hike to the top of Lone Mountain on the windyest day to fly a kite, where I found an extra tail to the kite that said "Will you marry me?" Two months later we got married in the St. George Temple on June 9, 2007. Married life is wonderful and we are enjoying every minute of it. Jesse is working for a company called Cirrus. He is teaching people how to fly and is enjoying it. He gets to travel alot and has had the opporunity to go to Germany, New york, Alanta, California, and Portland. Just to name a few. I am still going to school majoring in Secondary education. I just changed my major from elemtary education. I have my subbing licenses and have been able to see what grades I really like and I found I liked the middle school kids the best, thats why I changed my major. I really enjoy subbing and school, but I'm so ready to graduate. We are loving married life and if your wondering, we are waiting to have kids. :)
