when it rains it pours

The past few weeks have been crazy. Jesse had hip surgery about three weeks ago. We had an extra piece of bone that was blocking the movement of his hip. So we traveled to California to have his doctor due this procedure. Everything went well, he had to spend the first night in the hospital which made for a long night but was able to come home the next day. He had to use a walker for a few days and then a cane but now is walking and getting around great. He is even back to work. But the day after Jesse surgery I got a phone call from my mom telling me that my Grandpa Jones had passed away. Jesse and I had headed home as soon as we could and worked on getting Jesse up to par for a funeral. My grandpa had been sick for awhile so it was something we were prepared for but it still was hard. This is the first grandparent I have lost. I have lost great-grandparents but not my parents parents. My grandpa was a firefighter at the Test-site and retired there. So at his funeral we had the color guard there and they did a very nice presentation of a flag to my grandma. We also had a photographer at the funeral (I know it sounds weird but we got some really nice pictures) and it’s a chance for those of you to see my belly. :) Although it was a sad occasion it was great to see family members we hadn't seen in years. And on top of all this I still had school and work to do so here are the reasons I have been MIA
