Easter & Fair

The past two weekends we have spent in good old Overton. We went out there for Easter and the Fair. It was so great to go out there for Easter. I was able to see all my family. We had a big picnic and Easter egg hunt on Saturday and then Sunday we played at the park, layed out in the sun, and played a lot of cards. (The goal was to beat Jesse, to bad it didn't happen ) I was rotting for everyone to beat Jesse. He has this thing were he can win in pretty much every game... it gets old real fast :) haha.. Then the next weekend we out to Overton so I could work at the middle school on Friday and then hit the fair the next two days. The fair was fun it was great to see old friends and show off the "Fatty!"

Grants Blessing / Catch up

Things have been busy lately, and I have been really bad about blogging. I can't believe my baby boy is already 10 weeks old. Where has the time gone??? He has been so much fun lately. He has started to smile and loves grinning and laughing with us. We went to his 2 month check up and he cam in weighing almost 15 pounds and healthy. But he has also claimed the nick name Fatty! But we love him for it and all the rolls that come with it. Grants blessing was wonderful. Jesse did a GREAT job on his blessing and Grant didn't even cry. He actually put on a show afterwards when Jesse was showing him off. (He was making faces at everyone. ) But it was great to have all of our family come our for the event. We were able to have all of Jesse's and My family come out. We played on the strip and took lots of pictures. It was good to see everyone and we had blast. Thanks everyone for traveling our for the event. I am sad I didn't get a picture of the 4 air mattress in my loft for the weekend, but that can just give you and idea how much fun we had.

I can't believe it has been 5 weeks since Grant was born, and I have been horrible about blogging. But I do feel I have a good excuse. :) It was been fun watching Grant get bigger the past few weeks and when I say bigger I mean bigger, he is putting on the pounds and the rolls. :) He has been a lot of fun having around; he makes the funniest faces, and loves staring at the fan. He has a new look we like to call fan face, and we enjoy laughing at him when he makes it and all other faces. I hate to admit it but he has been a good baby and I can't complain. He only wakes up once through the night and only cries when he is hungry, which lately seems to be more and more but then again he is just putting on the pounds. But he has definitely made the transition into a new mommy really easy. (I know just cause I said that I have jinxed myself) :) But here are a few pictures of our adventures the past few weeks.

An Update

An update on us.... We had a wonderful Christmas and New years. This year everything was pretty low key due to the fact I am about to POP! The Monday after Christmas one of my good friends Sam got married in St. George, so we made a quick trip up there to see him and my other good friend Heather who now lives in Puerto Rico. So it was a great reunion for all of us. Jesse's brother and his family came and spent a few days with us and we were able to go and see the bodies exhibit, Botanical Garden at the Bellagio, and of course fly airplanes. :) As for right now I am just waiting out this week to have this baby! I have been going to work just to try to pass the time, but if this baby does not come up the end of the week I am getting induced on Monday the 11th. We are really excited and also a little nervous. I am ready to have this baby in my arms instead of in my belly and more excited to bring him into this world. We will keep you posted on baby news as soon as we can!

Bragging...

I have decided I want to brag! After many semesters of school and many different classes at BYU-I, CSN, and UNLV I finally got straight A's. It only took me to my last semester of classes to do it but I did do it!! Go me!! I have been so close the last two semesters but for some reason or another I always get all A's and that only lovely B+. But not this semester! So this is my gloating for a few minutes, because I think the last time I got straight A's was in middle school. :)

Baby Shower / Thanksgiving

We have been busy the past few weeks. Jesse has spent most of his time working in Dallas. For the past three weeks he has spent the weekdays in days and comes on for the weekend. Its been hard but hopefully we only have a few more weeks of this and he'll be done. But in the mean time I have been going to school and trying to prepare for our new arrival that should be joining us in the next few weeks. I was lucky enough to have two baby shower. A good friend of mine Bryn through me one here in Las Vegas. It was a lot of fun and it was great to see friends I hadn't seen in awhile. But of course I forgot my camera so no pictures of that shower until I beg Bryn for the ones she took with hers. :) The second shower I had was thrown by two of my mom's good friends Melanie and Maryann in Overton. That one was also a lot of fun, and again great to see friends that I hadn't seen in a while. I am so grateful for the good friends I have and how much they helped us out. Up in till the baby shower we had NOTHING for this child, and now we are complete set. :) I can't thank everyone enough for everything!

THANKSGIVING- This year for Thanksgiving, we spent it with my family and it was out at my parents house. It was a lot of fun this year. We ate a lot of food, and then went shooting, four wheeling, (well I didn't but everyone else did) Flew Jesse's airplane, and shot off rockets. We had a busy day :) But a fun day. To make the day even better the weather here was gorgeous and it was so nice to spend majority of the day outside.
