Mothers Day & Lion King

My Mothers day gift this year was tickets to Lion King. This month is teacher appreciation so any one that works for the school district can get really good deals on tickets to shows, so we took the opportunity to go see Lion King. We ended up with FRONT row seats at the end of the middle row, which was AWESOME!!! It was so great to see everyone come running up the stage!! The whole time I was just amazed at everything from the costumes to the singing to being able to see the orchestra down below us. Jesse even loved it! Thanks Jesse for an AWESOME 1st Mothers Day! and Date night!!!

Thumb

We have been trying to keep Grant from sucking his thumb. I sucked my thumb for ten years and it was a hard habit to break. So we have been pushing the Binky, but I guess we didn't do it hard enough.

Graudation

I wish I could say I was done with school, but I am not. I still have another 12 weeks of Student teaching and then I can say I DONE! But UNLV doesn't have a graduation in August so I got to walk with my fellow classmates on May 8th. It was a bitter sweet, it was great to see all my friends but sad to turn around and go back to school on Monday. :) It was a long 3 hours to sit there and be called up for a good 5 seconds. WHOOO... haha.. So now I am on the count down till I'm really done, and then we are going to party!!! So stay tuned for you invitation to PARTY!!!!

Grandma Davis

This past Monday my Great Grandmother passed away at the age of 92. It was something we knew was coming, and we were able to spend all day Sunday with her saying our good byes. Most people don't get to say that they have a great grandmother for 23 of their years and let alone a picture with your great-great-grandmother. She will be missed but we loved her dearly and she just adored Grant. My grandparents are together again, because 73 years of marriage wasnt long enough :)

Grant has been really good at blowing out his diaper, and this morning he did he one of his best. All the way up his back and he was one proud boy for doing so..

Easter & Fair

The past two weekends we have spent in good old Overton. We went out there for Easter and the Fair. It was so great to go out there for Easter. I was able to see all my family. We had a big picnic and Easter egg hunt on Saturday and then Sunday we played at the park, layed out in the sun, and played a lot of cards. (The goal was to beat Jesse, to bad it didn't happen ) I was rotting for everyone to beat Jesse. He has this thing were he can win in pretty much every game... it gets old real fast :) haha.. Then the next weekend we out to Overton so I could work at the middle school on Friday and then hit the fair the next two days. The fair was fun it was great to see old friends and show off the "Fatty!"

Grants Blessing / Catch up

Things have been busy lately, and I have been really bad about blogging. I can't believe my baby boy is already 10 weeks old. Where has the time gone??? He has been so much fun lately. He has started to smile and loves grinning and laughing with us. We went to his 2 month check up and he cam in weighing almost 15 pounds and healthy. But he has also claimed the nick name Fatty! But we love him for it and all the rolls that come with it. Grants blessing was wonderful. Jesse did a GREAT job on his blessing and Grant didn't even cry. He actually put on a show afterwards when Jesse was showing him off. (He was making faces at everyone. ) But it was great to have all of our family come our for the event. We were able to have all of Jesse's and My family come out. We played on the strip and took lots of pictures. It was good to see everyone and we had blast. Thanks everyone for traveling our for the event. I am sad I didn't get a picture of the 4 air mattress in my loft for the weekend, but that can just give you and idea how much fun we had.
